Colorful Maxi Skirt

As usual, I was doing one of my regular trips to Joann picking up…um, I can’t remember because I was instantly distracted by this fabric.

Not wanting to manipulate it too much, I decided to make a skirt.

The construction of it was fairly simple: cut two pieces for the skirt,  four pieces for pockets (gotta have pockets), use French seams, add elastic, hem the bottom and you’re finished. `

I have to give a major shoutout to my friend, Jordan. She has always praised French Seams and for some reason it seemed too difficult. It’s not. Like most things with sewing, once you figure it out, it’s pretty simple.  A little time consuming, but simple.
