It has been a while since I have done any type of race. It was hard getting back on track with races after having and taking care of a baby. I figured that a 5k would be the perfect race for me to do to get back into “race mode.” I may do a couple of other 5K’s and possibly one 10K. I am doing a sprint triathlon in July and I am running my first marathon at the end of the year so I don’t want to go on race overload and injure myself. One of the main reasons I was attracted to this race is for the fact that it is at night and I won’t have to worry about the heat from the blistering sun.
