Cake Decorating Course One – Recap
Last Tuesday was the last day for course one of the cake decorating class I took. How did I do? Here’s a recap:
Not perfect but I was proud of myself.
This week didn’t go as well. My cake was suppose to resemble this:
Instead, it looked like this:
Week three was cupcakes. I did much better and my confidence was back!

Week four, final week! We learned how to do roses and transfer them to the cake. As I was making my roses I started to get discouraged again. They didn’t look like they were in the same family with the roses in the book. They didn’t even look like the 2nd cousin twice removed! Once I transferred it to the cake, the smiles came back!
This Thursday I start my 2nd course: Fondant and Gum Pasting!

Nice job! 🙂

Cake decoration classes look like so much fun! The good thing about it is that even if you mess up the decoration, the cake will still taste good. 🙂

Thanks for the compliments ladies! The class is really fun and I am ready to learn more.
Eunice, you are right. The cake does still taste good no matter how the decoration looks!
