I have had so many things I have wanted to write about but life got in the way. More like death. Last week my husband’s grandfather passed away and between setting up camp in the hospital and attending the funeral, my schedule has been off. Personally, every time I know someone passes, whether they were close to me our not, I always get into a trance. I start thinking about my life and what I want to do/achieve.

Last Friday was my last day at my 9-5. After much talk with my husband, I took the plunge. I am now what they consider a WAHM (Work At Home Mom). This plan has been in the making for a while but after witnessing the death of someone it made it all more justified. I am doing what I want to do AND I get more time with my son!

So…what am I doing? Well I’m glad you asked. I have partnered up with someone who I became close to very quickly (which hardly happens) and have created a Lifestyle Public Relations and Event Planning company called, Self Created. I also have my own company, Esselle Creative which focuses on event, interior, prop styling, graphic design, etc.  I am so excited about what the future holds! I already have a few projects brewing and can’t wait to blog about them and share my experience!

Living in Columbia, South Carolina and using this blog as my space to share a little insight into my life in what I'm making on the sewing machine, knitting needles, crochet hooks, in the kitchen, and elsewhere.

Good luck on your ventures! I can't wait to get there one day (minus the mom part!). I'll keep you in mind if anyone I know needs services like you offer.

Hi there. I am sorry to hear of your loss.
Congrats on stepping out in faith and going for your dreams. I do not think that I will be able to make this year's blog event;( I really wanted to but, soccer, football, etc. with the kids.
