Happy Fourth of July!

The older I get the more I enjoy this holiday. I think it’s because I actually realize how much my father and others before him sacrificed for us. I feel like it’s the only day in which MOST of us take a break from our political standpoints and just celebrate being able to have the freedom to express our opinions (whether we agree or not).
Unfortunately, I’m under the weather today. Plus, it’s been raining all week in Columbia. Hard to get in the spirit. So, I’ll leave you with some lovely photos representing summer and this great day!

Living in Columbia, South Carolina and using this blog as my space to share a little insight into my life in what I'm making on the sewing machine, knitting needles, crochet hooks, in the kitchen, and elsewhere.
