Last week I actually had a life. I interacted with other adults and it was amazing! Granted, most of the talk turned to talking about our children but it’s kind of inevitable. I will have new “Handmade in SC” features up this week as well as other creative events happening in Columbia but first I want to talk about The Other Woman.
I really wanted to see it because I am a fan of Cameron Diaz off and on the screen, Leslie Mann is hilarious (really enjoyed This is 40), and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (the cheater in the movie) has become a new star crush. He plays Jaime Lannister on Game of Thrones and he’s the character you should hate but secretly love.
I really enjoyed the movie. I felt there was a good balance of making the man suffer but still having the internal issues of letting go of someone you thought you knew (and loved).
An added bonus is Cameron Diaz’s wardrobe in the movie. The Costume Designer is Patricia Fields (of Sex and the City fame). I want everything she wore in the movie. And her body.
I downloaded The Body Book but have yet to read it (right now I’m reading Fault in Our Stars by Jonathan Green).
Speaking of books, before the movie started they showed the trailer for Gone Girl. I am so excited to see this movie. I pray they do it justice.
I’ve also fallen in love with the song playing in the trailer. I learned it is “She” by Elvis Costello.
