2016 Handmade, Local Gift Guide Part Two:Home, Body, Children, Etc.
Patricia Le’Becq Pottery ? Patricia and I took an Introduction to Clay class a few years ago. We both fell in love. While I focused on other creative outlets, Patricia stayed with the clay (that kind of rhymes?maybe not. It’s late) and it had paid off. She just had her first show this past weekend and I was so excited to go and show support (and buy something as well)!

Just Wanna Melt ? I got some shaving soap from her and I love them. Regular shaving creams dry out my skin and usually leave me scratching my skin red. Not these; very moisturizing.

Kyle Smith ? Kyle has major skills with the wheel. And Jordan has great things to say about him as well. Side note: his wife, Kim, is awesome!

Musa Moon ? I met her while doing Hippie Fest in Charlotte. She walked into my boot and was nursing her sweet baby boy. We chatted for a while and I instantly liked her. She has some great herbal teas, bath bombs and salts and healing stones. I have my eye on several of her things.

Owlette ? Jessica makes the cutest accessories for the little ones! Also, she is probably one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. And her sewing skills are so damn good she can teach you a thing or two in her classes.

The Zen Succulent ? I met the mother/daughter duo a few years back at Crafty Feast and loved all the hanging terrariums they had with them. Their Instagram feed is gorgeous. I have their book on my Christmas List.

Carolina Soap Works ? Met Kayla over a year ago and since them I have used her soaps exclusively. She now has body scrubs, bath bombs, candles, and a new favorite of mine, all natural deodorant. I have tried other well-known brands and they were no good. Kayla takes the time to perfect the formula. And it is good.

Bloom Healing Arts Studio – Holistic and organic skincare, massages, body treatments, energy work, yoga sessions?yes, please!
I could keep the list going and going. So much amazing talent out there. Tell me, who’s on your list?
