Book Club: The Final Girl Support Group By Grady Hendrix with Brindolyn McNair of That’s Lit Podcast

I was recently joined by Brindolyn of That’s Lit Podcast to discuss The Final Girl Support by Grady Hendrix.

Final Girl : the female protagonist who remains alive at the end of the film, after the other characters have been killed, when she is usually placed in a position to confront the killer. (Source)

What happens once the news media goes away, the movies have been made, the books are written, and now you are left to deal with the aftermath of a traumatic event? In The Final Girl Support Group, Grady Hendrix explores the side of these survivors that aren’t seen by the public.

We discuss what we like about the book, analyze how each final girl chooses their own coping mechanism, why having an unstable narrator worked, and how the death of a certain character may seem tone-death.

Keep up with Brindolyn!
