Let's Talk Books

Since I got an iPad a few weeks ago I decided to try out E-Books. They’re great. I never thought I would be a fan of reading that way but I love it. I felt like I was cheating on actual books but I quickly got over that feeling.

Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

Since I already jumped the gun (to e-books) I decided to join the rest of the world and read Fifty Shades of Grey.  Anyone who knows me can tell you I had absolutely no interest in ever picking up this book.  I like to stick to Chick Lit and Young Adult.  I read them and I liked them. Once you get past the elementarty writing and “kinky fuckery(Their words. Not mine. At all.)” the story isn’t too bad. Would I read another book like this? Maybe. But I’m in no rush. The biggest problem I had with this book is the writing. Five pages in and I knew the author was in serious need of a editor. The fact the main character is an editor? The irony of that is not lost on me. It will be interesting to see who they get for the main characters and what the movie will be rated. Of course a lot of things will need to be changed or omitted.

Vanity, Vengeance, and a Weekend in Vegas by Kyra Davis

I love the Sophie Katz Series and all the characters involved. To me, the plot doesnt even matter. Just continue to bring the characters back. These books would make the perfect LIFETIME movie series.

Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns by Lauren Weisberger
You can read my review over on The Shop Tart’s  blog. But if you don’t have time I’ll say this: Wait for the movie.
