Tarot Card(s) of the Week: Past Present Future

Hello, February! I have never been so happy to see a new month begin. This was another weekend of yoga training and like most training weekends, my mind and body is overworked and filled with information. I decided to do a three card spread this week because I have been feeling unsure of myself and all over the place. Before I pull a card I try to focus on a situation which helps me think of the question I want to ask. While this is happening, I continue to shuffle the cards. Then I cut the deck in three and in no particular order, stack it all back together.

Past: Two of Wands – Success, Goal Getting, Conscious of your thoughts.  While I have made progressive steps in things I want do personally and professionally, I still have a little of Impostor Syndrome. I still question if I’m doing the right thing and sadly, I have found myself comparing myself to others. Not good, I know. This weekend I got some news that bummed me out a bit but then I looked inward and asked myself if I was depending too much on this situation to be the answer to my “problem” instead of me being the answer.

Present: Seven of Wands – Inner Strength.  I picked this card for a fellow yogi student last month and now here it is reappearing for me. So I am going to give myself the advice I gave her: You already know what you need to do. You don’t need to ask permission or run it by anyone else. While you have the support of those around you ultimately you have the make the choices for yourself.

Future: Ace of Pentacles – Prosperous Beginnings. Again, not too shocking a card about staying grounded and rooted pops up during my yoga weekend.

Goals for the week:

  • Work on poses where I tend to wobble but require a strong foundation (looking at you Warrior III (Virabhdrasana III) and Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)
  • Stop second-guessing myself
  • Get the thoughts out of my head and into fruition.
